Shelby Scanlon

I am a Jacksonville, Florida, native who braved the winters in upstate New York to attend Ithaca College. After graduating with my B.S. in Emerging Media, I embarked on a journey cruising the Caribbean for Carnival Cruise Lines and serving as the onboard media manager.

In 2019 I turned in my sea legs, began working at the University of North Florida in the Center for Instruction and Research Technology, and decided to further my education by pursuing a Master’s in Communication Management (Business concentration, non-thesis). My primary role as a communications coordinator is to design, develop, and implement communication strategies and initiatives for my department. This includes developing and maintaining websites, social media, podcasts, and email campaigns.
